There are 90,000 Ethiopian Jews in Israel, 50 percent of them are under the age of 25.Eighty percent are functionally illiterate and 65 percent are unemployed. You can ensure there is not an Ethiopian under class in Israel through a gift to the Ethiopian Scholarship Fund. The Interdisciplinary Center Herzilya accepts students based on military or sherut leumi (national service) achievement, high school grades and a personal interview. The University provides free tuition, a monthly stipend, unlimited tutoring, a complimentary lap top computer as well as overseas internship opportunities.
$11,000 subsidizes the full cost of a scholarship.
