Anne Sopshin is a retired Elementary School teacher. She has her BS in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from the University of Miami. She taught in both public and private education for several years while in Miami. She is married to Jeff for 34 years. They met at the University of Miami in the marching band. They have two boys, David, 28, who works for Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. and Eric, 24, who is a consultant for Ernst & Young in Atlanta. After Anne & her family moved to Broward County in 1994, she became a "professional volunteer" in the Jewish community, proudly serving as PTO president at both the David Posnack JCC and David Posnack Hebrew Day School and then later as President of the DPJCC. She has served in many capacities at both the JCC and Federation, however, her greatest love and dedication has been to the Broward/Nesher partnership for 15 years.  She has chaired the committee, been integrally involved in the teen delegation, developed and orchestrated new ideas to keep the partnership and it's participants thriving, and is very happy to be using her teaching skills once again as the "volunteer manager" of the school twinning program- working with the Broward educators. In addition to her work with the Partnership, Anne currently serves as Co-Chair of the Special Needs Impact Team and serves as the Vice-Chair of  Board Education for Women's Philanthropy.
