David Gillette is AIPAC’s Principal Deputy Director of Policy and Government Affairs. As one of AIPAC’s lobbyists, he works to promote the U.S.-Israel relationship, encouraging senators, representatives and congressional staff to support the issues that strengthen that vital alliance. David served as AIPAC’s Political Outreach Director from 1988 to 1993. Before then, he worked as Staff Director for former Democratic National Committee Chair and Senator Christopher Dodd, served among House Democratic Leadership with then-Chief Deputy Majority Whip Bill Richardson, and represented the State Department on Capitol Hill as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Legislative Affairs. David received a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Wesleyan University, a master’s in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a master’s in Jewish Communal Service from Hebrew Union College. David lives in the Washington, D.C. area and has twin daughters.
