History of the Jews of Russia

Temple Beth Torah Sha’aray Tzedek’s Men’s Club will be hosting an in-depth lecture on Russian Jewish History. So many Jews in the diaspora have ancestry rooted in Eastern Europe, particularly in Imperial & Soviet Russia but most are not aware of the underlying history of what was once Europe’s largest Jewish population. Lifelong learning lecturer Helene Herman will be covering the Russian Jewish journey from antiquity through the Russian Empire and Revolution, culminating with the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.
