Scott J. Bakal
Scott J. Bakal is a shareholder and member of Greenberg Traurig's Private Wealth and Tax planning groups and the firm's Israel and Latin American Practices. He develops tax-planning strategies for high net-worth families, closely held businesses, and publicly held corporations with significant U.S. and international operations. Scott, admitted both in Florida and Illinois, is based in Fort Lauderdale, where he advises families in connection with investments in U.S. real estate and other assets, pre-immigration planning and planning for large gifts and inheritances to be received by U.S. family members. Scott graduated from Harvard Law School and Yale College.
Scott is included in Chambers, Best Lawyers and the Legal 500. Scott has previously spoken at the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the American Bar Association-Tax Section, and the Palm Beach Tax Institute.
Rabbi David Gold, MDiv, MHA, B.S
Rabbi David Gold, MDiv, MHA, B.S. was born and raised in Manchester, England and moved to Brooklyn, New York, to attend Yeshiva/Jewish College. Next, Rabbi Gold attended rabbinical training in Vilnius, Lithuania, and then in St. Petersburg, Russia. After two years in the former Soviet Union, he finished his rabbinical training in Jerusalem, Israel. Then, he completed his Post Graduate Certification in Advanced Rabbinics and Synagogue Management from Touro College/Young Israel.
Rabbi Gold graduated from Touro College with a Bachelor of Science and from Ashford University with a Master of Health Care Administration degree. He has held rabbinical positions in Poughkeepsie, New York, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Miami, Florida. Rabbi Gold worked for the VA Hospital in Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital as a Chaplain/Rabbi.
Currently Rabbi Gold works with L’ Chaim Hospice, a program of Catholic Hospice of Miami-Dade/Broward. He resides in North Miami Beach with his wife, six adult children, and their spouses. He lectures nationwide and in the local Jewish community and speaks Russian, Hebrew, Yiddish, and English.
