Survivor Friends
March of the Livin
Survivor Friends, a program of the Jewish Federation of Broward County, pairs 9th-and 10th-grade students with Holocaust Survivors to foster meaningful, intergenerational relationships.
Through monthly gatherings, students hear powerful stories of resilience, receive training in trauma-informed communication, explore how to live Jewish values in daily life, and learn to stand up against antisemitism on campus.
For Survivors, these connections offer a safe, supportive space to engage with compassionate young people and their families-especially during shared celebrations of Jewish holidays.
Each student-survivor "pod" becomes a mini-family, offering mutual support, deep connection, and a rare opportunity to form lasting bonds that honor the past and help shape the future.
